Ford GT40 Le Mans Car Identification Light Cover Amber Orange 5C/3465 Ex-RAF
3 downward identification lamps, green, amber and red, were used in different set patterns by the RAF, primarily to identify friendly aircraft at night. They were used during wartime and beyond in many iconic aircraft such as the Supermarine Spitfire, de Havilland Mosquito, Avro Lancasters and Shackletons. These were also used by Ford on their Le Mans GT40 cars as identification lamps between vehicles. Please note this is just for the cover and not the full lamp unit.
Unknown if used but has been in loose storage for many years so will show some marks and scuffs. There are some manufacturing defects in the glass but they are original. The fixing adhesive is now dry and cracked so the glass may be loose. They should be able to be reseated and glued in place without issue.
