Motorised Selector & Follow-Up Resistor 5CZ/5623 Handley Page Victor XA924 RAF FLT/A/2 Teddington Controls Ltd
Removed from Handley Page Victor XA924 in 1962. XA924 was one of the last Victor 1s produced and originally fitted with the ‘Yellow Aster’ radar at Radlett before being deployed to RAF Wyton, where they were attached to 543 Squadron as the Radar Reconnaissance Flight. These aircraft were usually fitted with air filters to detect high altitude nuclear readings in an effort to detect Soviet nuclear explosions.
1/27/1958: Delivered to the RAF.
1958: Radar Recon Flight (543 Squadron), at RAF Wyton.
1961: 232 Operational Conversion Unit.
1963: 10 Squadron.
4/14/1964: Withdrawn from use.
4/1964: Assigned as a ground trainer to RAF Saint Athan as “7844M”.

Used non-functioning condition and has been in loose storage since removal so is showing extensive corrosion all over. Makes a nice aged patina! Sold untested for display only and "as is".
